Master Terms & Conditions

Unless otherwise stated within a service agreement or quote, the terms and conditions below apply to all work done by Turf and Trim Lawn Co.

1. General Service & Payment

  • Agreement to Terms: By approving a quote or requesting service, the Client agrees to these Master Terms and Conditions.

  • Payment Method: A valid credit card or bank account must be kept on file for all recurring services & those requiring a partial deposit.

  • Payment Timing: Charges and/or remaining balances will be processed at the time of service or up to one week thereafter.

  • Deposits: All deposits are non-refundable.

    • A 50% deposit is required for Mulching and Seeding/Overseeding to cover material costs.

    • A 20% deposit is required for Leaf Removal & Aeration.

  • Cancellations: Notice of service cancellation must be provided at least 12 hours in advance.

2. Site Readiness

  • Access Requirements: Clients must ensure gates are unlocked and pets are secured indoors during scheduled service times.

  • Lawn Conditions: When relevant, additional service fees (one-time or recurring) may be applied for overgrown edges, overgrown lawns, excessive slope, debris removal, pet waste, etc.

  • Blocked Access Fee: For all services except mowing, a $40 non-refundable convenience fee will be charged if a return visit is necessary due to locked gates, pets, or site obstructions.

  • Mowing Access: If areas are inaccessible during a mowing visit, those sections will be skipped but charged at the full quoted rate.

  • Preparation: For fall seeding, the lawn must be mowed to 2–2.5" prior to arrival. For all services, relevant areas must be cleared of toys, hoses, decor, trash, debris, etc.

  • Markers: Sprinkler heads and other shallow buried utilities must be marked before all jobs involving soil penetration (seedings). Any above ground hazards (utilities, decor, broken sprinkler heads, stumps, rocks, etc.) must be marked or otherwise clearly visible for all jobs.

3. Liability & Damages

  • Private Utilities: The Client is responsible for clearly marking all private underground lines and fixtures, including irrigation heads, invisible fences, and landscape lighting.

  • Liability Limitation: Turf & Trim Lawn Co. is not responsible for damage to improperly installed or unmarked private utilities.

  • Reporting Window: Any damage claims must be reported to Turf & Trim Lawn Co. within 72 hours of the service date.

  • Environmental Exclusions: We are not liable for turf loss or material "washout" caused by weather, heavy rain, or improper customer irrigation.

  • Lawn Health: Without the purchase of relevant service, we are not responsible for turf loss caused by extreme weather, improper mowing, disease, soil composition or condition, insect damage, traffic damage, or shade damage.

4. Service-Specific Terms

  • Seeding Aftercare:

    • Successful germination requires the Client to water 3 times daily for 21 days. Failure to follow this schedule will likely result in seed failure.

    • No Guarantee of Germination: Because grass is a living organism, results are variable. Success depends on weather, soil conditions, and customer aftercare. We do not guarantee a completely "thick" lawn.

    • Weed/Existing Grass: Overseeding will not kill existing weeds or "wild" grasses. These require separate treatments.

    • If including Mesotrione for weeds, 1) the lawn needs to be watered the day of the application, 2) the lawn should not have foot traffic until the product is dry, 3) the lawn may be temporarily damaged, and 4) results to weeds (existing or new) are not guaranteed.

    • Mowing/Traffic: I agree to keep all foot traffic (including pets) off the area for 21 days and will not mow for at least 14 days.

    • Chemicals: I will not apply any weed control or "Pre-emergent" products to the lawn for at least 8 weeks following this service.

  • Lawn Applications

    • Access: For liquid applications, people and pets must remain off the treated area until the product has completely dried (typically 1–2 hours). Granular applications must be watered in and allowed to dry or otherwise settle before people and pets should access the area. Please refer to the entry interval on application reports.

    • Reactive applications of insecticides, fungicides, rodenticides, and herbicides will not rectify existing turf damage.

    • Lush growth may take many years of consistent and diverse service in order to acquire.

    • Certain weeds (such as sedges and Bermuda grass) require specialty applications to address which are not included in a standard plan.

    • Results may vary based on environmental factors, soil, and cultural practices.

  • Mulch & Materials:

    • Mulch is a natural product; dyed varieties will fade over time, and organic decay may occasionally produce fungi or mushrooms.
